The Second Coming Of Christ
A lot of Christians take comfort from the literal interpretation of the bible, and hold a firm belief that the second coming of Christ will come. If someone actually came up and introduced himself as Christ, it's doubtful that you'd believe him and he would be carted off to the funny farm. It's something that will happen in the future, somewhere else. Never in your home town.

Meditaion for Beginners
Are you having trouble relaxing? This is probably one of the greatest downfalls of Americans. You would think with the abundance of massage spas we have in this country that no one would have any trouble winding down. However, this is not the case. In fact, one of the greatest causes of stress and angst is work. That ever-popular career. You're probably slouching in an office cubicle somewhere with your hand on a mouse pad. Sound familiar? Well, don't fret over it. You're certainly not alone in this. Although this type of career may seem routine and risk free, it actually has its downfalls. One of them is difficult to avoid, and it's commonly known as stress. Sadly it's often brought on by deadlines, co-workers and bosses orders. However, there is something you can do to deal with it. It's called relaxation through meditation. Are you ready to try meditation for beginners? I learned quite a bit concerning meditation for beginners on my own computer at home. That's why I love the Internet so much. I swear virtually everything is on there. I guess the first ...

Bible Code Program

I recently got a bible code program download from the internet to check it out. As a Methodist minister, I feel that I know the bible about as well as anyone, and I was pretty skeptical about this bible code program. If you aren't familiar with the idea – and many Christians aren't – it basically is a method of divination that dates back to Kaballisticscholars. Basically the idea is that there are hidden codes in the Bible, which can be discovered by doing certain kinds of searches for patterns in letter distribution. For example, you could assemble sentence by using every fifth letter, or every sixth letter, and seeing if it forms words. The coolest part is every bible code program has different ways of doing this. Some will look for a search term – for example, a name or a date – and count the number of letters in that term. Then they will scan the bible from the point where that word occurs, looking for words in the combinations of letters that it selects.

Christmas Songs for the Family
Christmas songs have come a long way and at the same time have endured.  What does this mean?  Well, think about whatever comes to mind when someone says the two simple words, Christmas songs.  If you grew up where it snows in December, you likely recall—besides caroling in hay trucks, listening to carolers—songs with lyrics about chestnuts roasting on an open fire and sleigh bells and one of the dreams of the great late Bing Crosby, that of a white Christmas.

Bible Commentaries
You don’t realize it or realize enough to think about it until you are old enough to make advanced inferences and engage in challenges of the intellect especially on those involve on mystery shopper network who are intellegent enough to determine the quality customer services without being caught , but the first Bible commentaries shape you, condition you for future references if not future faiths.  I was fortunate (or unfortunate) to have a mother who was fairly open-minded and who also gave us kids gifts that appealed to our sensibilities at the time.  For example, I loved to read, look at great visuals, and play with paper and colors when I was a kid, so after a time at Sunday School one summer, my mother bought me this huge kid’s book of the Bible parables and allegories.  It had a large font, I recall, and pastelly (my word) pictures of the Old and New Testament “characters”, if you will.  It had no Bible commentaries, but that’s my point: the stories, pictures, and presentation of Bible contents are the Bible commentaries, ...

Bible Studies For Children

Kids love everything technological nowadays. Computers, internet, i-pods – anything that is high tech they can't keep their hands off of. Unfortunately, a lot of these things aren't very good for them. Computers cause eye strain and take time a way from playing and learning which they should be doing instead, the headphones from their music players can cause hearing damage. And that is to say nothing about all of the objectionable and sometimes dangerous material on the internet.

Images of Jesus

In my amateur studies of fine art and along the way during developing a number of courses for Christian students, I have had the fortune to come upon some of the most stunning images of Jesus.  What makes my findings and responses to such findings most remarkable is that I am not a Christian, per se.  I am spiritual, I am kind, I don’t commit ethical or legal crimes, and I did my share of time in Catholic and other churches and Bible school as a kid.  I also believe in the existence of a Jesus of Nazareth, though I typically believe he was an ordinary man of simple and pure tastes and visions and was sanctified to the extremes he has been and bastardized to the same extremes.  Nevertheless, or in addition, then, I find images of Jesus intriguing, profound, and often quite awe-inspiring..whether for aesthetic and artistic purposes or for spiritual reasons

Simple Pleasures

As the saying goes, “the best things in life are free.”  It rings true; love, friendship, joy, these things all come to us free of charge.  Good things, however, are often more expensive, but they’re also often very simple.  Simple pleasures allow us to indulge ourselves without going to extravagant lengths.
